today i went to this adorable little asian food place in town, it was really nice, a full meal freshly made for £3.50 with vegetarian options everywhere, not just one covered in mushrooms. all the food came in those little white boxes like chinese food in america and you could get noodle or rice boxes, asian salad, noodle soup and curry, all where you choose the different aspects of your meal. it boasted being 'Fresh. Healthy. Fast' which made me feel alot better than eating the greasy chips in mcdonalds that had been sitting in the same pan all day just being reheated every 5 minutes. it has also reinstalled my love for tofu.

as i find it almost impossible to have more than 7 hours sleep a night (strange version of insomnia?!) i have been sat up since 7 drinking fizzy bena (only 12calories with diet lemonade and really light ribena) and looking on lookbook which i haven't done for awhile.
it made me realise how shit england is.
most decent pictures from british people are indoors, and almost certainly a mirror shot, whereas i look at other european countries i.e. sweden, france and even germany and there all really really good.
i also wish i was short and asian, preferably from singapore.
is singapore in asia? if its not i'm a tit.

tomorrow in food i am making a lemon cheesecake.

Ingredients
12 digestive biscuits
100g Butter, softened
1 tsp clear honey
2 Lemons, finely grated zest and juice
1 tbsp icing sugar
500g Mascarpone

1. Crush the biscuits into small pieces and combine with the butter and honey. Put this mixture into 4 metal rings and press evenly into the bottom of the moulds.

2. Stir the lemon juice, zest and icing sugar into the cheese, being sure not to mix it too much as this will cause the mixture to split. Taste as you go - if you have very juicy lemons you may not need all the juice.

3. Spoon the mix into the rings and use a palette knife to press it down to prevent air gaps. Sit onto serving plates and remove the rings, loosening with with a hot cloth or blowtorch (blowtorch?!).
